Vern Biccum

President

Vern joined Iridia in January of 2006 as a Project Manager and since then his role has evolved in tandem with the company’s growing needs. In 2012, he assumed the role of President and in that capacity has set his sights on making Iridia the best company that it can be.

He aims to achieve this goal by:

  • Ensuring that Iridia remains true to, and is guided by, its values
  • Instilling a culture that empowers and supports staff growth and development
  • Assembling a team that has a high degree of strategic and financial literacy, and is passionate about our brand.
  • Building a strong operational foundation that will support our continued growth and evolution as an organization

Notable Achievements

  • In the context of career, Iridia has provided many opportunities for achievement. Ranking highly among them would be his role in helping build one of the largest private paramedical services programs in the province. In addition to being novel, it provides a much-needed service to exploration communities of the north.
  • As a lifelong learner, Vern is always pursuing some form of study in parallel to his work commitments. His journey has seen him complete a B.Sc., an M.Sc (Biophysics), and an MBA in addition to an ABCP designation. He currently participates in an entrepreneur leadership program, and has committed himself to a lifelong pursuit of achieving fluency in the Chinese language.
  • In 2004, Vern was fortunate enough to be a part of Rotary District 5040’s Group Study Exchange team to New Zealand. It is a great honour to represent your country and a Rotary district in the capacity of a cultural ambassador.
